When Savannah went live on TikTok for the first time doing a “practice auction” with random items from her house, the stream peaked at 1.4 million simultaneous viewers. She auctioned a half-used candle for $800, a single throw pillow for $450, and a decorative gourd for $1,100. The man who won the gourd lives in a studio apartment in Chicago and has since posted a photo of it on a dedicated shelf with mood lighting. He titled the post: “Worth every penny.”

Earl Cole, 74, who taught Savannah everything she knows about auctioneering, gave one interview where he said he was “tickled pink” about her success but admitted he “doesn’t fully understand the internet part.” He noted that Savannah has “always had a real good voice for the business” and that she “takes after her grandmother that way.” Thirty million men nodded slowly and said nothing.
